As a rule of thumb, with software this means that all textual and culturally specific material is separated from the code itself and cultural and regional issues are considered already when the application is designed. Proper internationalization is beneficial to all application developers, localization persons, and users. Less support is required for localization projects, localization costs are reduced, which means better quality in less time, and the quality of localized products is improved.
