Those traveling to Adoulin with the desire to become pioneers and receive the coalitions' aid must first register with the Pioneers' Coalition.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Types of Colonization Efforts&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Colonization is divided into two main systems: "Reives," which are battles that occur at specific locations, and "Coalition Assignments," in which players perform jobs for the various coalitions.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Reives&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; There are three kinds of reives.&br;&br;Players will be evaluated on their performance after set intervals of time while participating in a reive, and will earn rewards of experience and bayld* each time. If the reive ends in victory, participants will be awarded spoils based on their total level of achievement.&br;In addition, reive participants may receive beneficial effects called "Reive Momentums" that are based on the cumulative achievements of all combatants.&br;&br;* Players must possess the key item Reive Unity in order to engender and receive the effects of reive momentums.&br;* The Reive Unity key item can be obtained as a reward for completing a certain quest.&br;* Bayld will be discussed later.&image=im00;&br; - Colonization Reives&br;The goal of a colonization reive is to destroy an obstacle that impedes progress into Ulbuka. Monsters lurk about each obstacle and will attack adventurers seeking to demolish the hazards.&br;* A new set of abilities known as "survival skills" are necessary to damage these obstacles&br;* Players who leave the area will be unable to participate in a reive for the next ten minutes.&br;&br;- Lair Reives&br;The goal of a lair reive is to destroy dens where fiendish foes have taken root.&br;As monsters will continue to appear if their lair is not destroyed, pioneers must swiftly deal with the threats in the surrounding area.&br;* Players who leave the area will be unable to participate in a reive for the next ten minutes.&br;&br;- Wildskeeper Reives&br;&br;The goal of a wildskeeper reive is to vanquish a Naakual, one of the most terrifying fiends in Ulbuka.&br;* A key item is required to participate in wildskeeper reives.&br;* The key item is exchanged for permission to participate in the reive at the time of entry, which is revoked once the reive ends. Therefore, while players may remain in the area after concluding a wildskeeper reive, they cannot participate in another wildskeeper reive.&br;&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Coalition Assignments&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Officially registered pioneers are assigned "imprimaturs," which they can use to undertake tasks from the Task Delegator located in each coalition.&br;&br;The content of these assignments varies by coalition, and can range from clearing paths and procuring materials to delivering goods, preserving the peace, researching enemies, and much more.&br;Completing a coalition assignment will reward you with a currency known as "bayld." Bayld is similar to conquest points in that they can be exchanged for a variety of goods and services.&br;In addition, the coalition's "edification rank" will also rise as assignments are completed.&image=im00;&br; - Imprimaturs&br;Imprimaturs are automatically distributed to players as time passes.&br;&br;A player must possess at least one imprimatur in order to undertake a coalition assignment, but may use multiple imprimaturs in order to earn greater rewards.&br; &br;- Edification Rank&br;The edification rank represents the extent to which the coalition has advanced.&br;This rank is calculated every hour (Earth time), and may rise, fall, or stay the same depending on player actions.&br;&br;As a coalition's rank rises, it will offer more services, open additional shops, and even change in appearance.&br;&br;Some shops are affiliated with a particular coalition and will offer an expanded inventory and provide discounts as their coalition's rank increases.&br;&br;Ranks for each coalition may be viewed by hovering your cursor over "Adoulin" in the "Colonization" section of "Region Information" in the main menu.&br;* In this version update, the maximum edification rank of each coalition has been set to three.&br;&br;- Services&br;The services that a coalition offers are decided upon by a democratic vote among pioneers. A pioneer may vote once he returns to the coalition to report on a successful assignment.&br;&br;The types of services offered will increase based on the coalition's appearance.&br; &br;- Outward Appearance&br;As a coalition's rank increases, the appearance of its building begins to change. The way the edifice expands is inexorably linked to the services it offers.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Ionis&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Certain NPCs in Ulbuka will be able to provide pioneers with a powerful enchantment known as "Ionis."&br;&br;The exact effects of Ionis are largely dependent on the six coalitions, with each providing different bonuses commensurate with their coalition rank.&br;&br;Vanquishing monsters while under the effect of Ionis will occasionally allow the player to receive crystals.&image=im00;&br; "" &image=im00;&image=10103_20.png; &li=ng01;Many additional stories and quests are available in areas accompanying Seekers of Adoulin.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Defeating monsters in Seekers of Adoulin areas will occasionally cause a strange mirage known as a "Soul Pyre" to appear.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; If the player touches a Soul Pyre from the proper distance and direction, he will receive items and/or bayld.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Gathering activities in the Seekers of Adoulin expansion areas are governed by a new rule.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Continuing to gather resources in the same area will build a character's fatigue, much like fishing, but will also gradually increase the likelihood of gathering better materials.&br;* Moving to a new area will reset both effects.&br;* Fatigue recovers over time.&br;&br;Certain pieces of equipment and key items that aid in gathering activities throughout Eastern Ulbuka have also been introduced.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;New battle content known as "Reives" have been added.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; "" &style=Tb15;Otherworldly Skirmishes&style;&br;&br; &image=im00;&image=10103_28.png; Skirmishes are battles for level 99 adventurers that unfold in an alternate yet similar world to Vana'diel. Throughout their trials and tribulations opening up the continent of Ulbuka, pioneers may stumble upon simulacrum segments that, when combined, grant access to this mysterious realm.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Eligibility Requirements&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; - Have installed the data on the FINAL FANTASY XI: Seekers of Adoulin expansion disc&br;- Have registered the Seekers of Adoulin expansion&br;- Possess a character that is level 95 or higher&br;- Be in a party of three to six people in which the leader is in possession of a simulacrum.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;Participating in Skirmishes&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; 1.Collect Simulacrum Segments&br;There are three different categories of segments―visages, torsos, and legs―that each contain unique magical properties. Segments can be combined to form simulacra, and the composition of these segments determines the rank and composition of the skirmish. They can be obtained through numerous methods: they may be rewarded when completing a quest or mission, drop from fiends that roam the continent, or be received via exchanging certain currencies.&image=im00;&br; Part Function &br;Visage Area*&br;Quality of Rewards &br;Torso Size of Area&br;Maximum Time of Activity&br;Maximum Number of Enemies to Defeat&br;Number of Rewards &br;Legs Number of Noetic Ascensions** and Type of Effects Bestowed&br;&br;* Players can only participate in a skirmish that corresponds to the visage they possess.&br;** An explanation of Noetic Ascensions will appear later in this text.&br;&br;Obtaining Simulacra&br;Players can enter a skirmish by collecting three appropriate simulacra segments and combining them to form a simulacrum key item.&br;&br;Oston in Eastern Adoulin (G-8) can both assemble and dismantle simulacra.&br;&br;*Lola, who occupies the other side of the table from Oston, explains the various rules associated with skirmishes.&image=im00;&br; 3.Entering Skirmishes&br;Augural Conveyors serve as the entryways to the world of skirmishes, and will transport the party to the appropriate skirmish when the party leader examines one as long as he is in possession of a simulacrum key item.&br;*Simulacra will vanish upon entering a skirmish.&br;&br;&image=im00;&br; 4.Doing Battle&br;Combatants may participate in skirmishes for thirty to sixty minutes, and completing the given objectives within this timeframe means successfully completing the skirmish.&br;&br;Participants will always be tasked with two objectives per skirmish. &br;No penalties will be incurred for only clearing the primary objective, but extra rewards will be presented for clearing the secondary objective.&image=im00;&br; 5.More on Doing Battle&br;All party members will be informed about what spoils they are to receive depending on how far they have progressed in the skirmish.&br;&br;Noetic Ascensions populate the realm as well. These forces bestow a single beneficial effect upon all party members. The effect bestowed can be selected from a list that appears when examining a Noetic Ascension.&br;&br;&image=im00;&br; 6.Rewards&br;Combatants will receive a Fenestral Key temporary item for each objective they clear.&br;&br;Using the Fenestral Key will cause a Treasure Coffer to appear, reset the time remaining to five minutes, and reraise any combatants who were KO'd. When a combatant opens his Treasure Coffer, the treasure pool will also appear.&br;&br;Items of Note&br;*Using a Fenestral Key before clearing the secondary objective will cause all enemies to vanish and make the objective impossible to complete.&br;*Failing to use a Fenestral Key before the time limit expires will cause players to be disengaged immediately and lose the chance to claim any rewards.&image=im00;&br; 7.More on Rewards&br;Equipment obtained from skirmishes may be augmented by Divainy-Gamainy at the Inventors' Coalition in exchange for specific items and an appropriate amount of bayld.&br;&br;Players may occasionally obtain obsidian fragments from defeating skirmish enemies. These fragments can be exchanged* for either materials used in Inventors' Coalition augmentation services or simulacrum segments.&br;*A certain facet of the Inventors' Coalition's building must be expanded before the coalition can provide this service.&image=im00;&br; "" &li=ng01;The following adjustments have been made to the Nyzul Isle Uncharted Area Survey Assault content.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; - Levels of monsters appearing in this content have been adjusted.&br;Floor Number Level &br;1-19 Decreased by ten levels &br;20-39 Decreased by seven levels &br;40-59 Decreased by four levels &br;60-79 Decreased by two levels &br;80-100 No change &br;* These changes also apply to notorious monsters.&br;&br;- Stats of some notorious monsters that only appear in the Nyzul Isle Uncharted Area Survey Assault content have been adjusted.&br;By selecting damage types that monsters are weak to, such as blunt attacks, piercing attacks, or magic attacks, players are able to deal more damage than before.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;The following adjustments have been made to Legion.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Characteristics have been given to monsters appearing within the maquette.&br;Reductions in HP, attack, defense values, and other statistics as well as methods of attacking monsters' weaknesses comprise the majority of these changes, but some monsters have experienced decreases in some areas and increases in others.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;The following adjustment has been made to Einherjar.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; The HP, attack, defense, and other characteristics of "Odin" as appearing in Odin's Chamber II have been decreased.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;The following adjustment has been made to Voidwatch.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Void Clusters are now able to be used in the Provenance jurisdiction.&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;The following adjustments have been made to Walk of Echoes.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; •The levels of monsters have been decreased.&br;•The following items have been added.&br;Frayed Sack (D) / Frayed Sack (L)&image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;The following adjustments have been made to Salvage.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; - Drops rates for the following items have increased:&br;Deimos's Mask / Deimos's Cuirass / Deimos's Gauntlets / Deimos's Cuisses / Deimos's Leggings / Freya's Mask / Freya's Jerkin / Freya's Gloves / Freya's Trousers / Freya's Ledelsens / Hikazu Kabuto / Hikazu Hara-Ate / Hikazu Gote / Hikazu Hakama / Hikazu Sune-Ate / Enlil's Tiara / Enlil's Gambison / Enlil's Kolluks / Enlil's Brayettes / Enlil's Crackows / Macha's Crown / Macha's Coat / Macha's Cuffs / Macha's Slops / Macha's Pigach&br;&br;- In Bhaflau Remnants, all enemies except notorious monsters summoned by the ability Reinforcements now drop the following equipment:&br;Floor Equipment &br;One Enlil's Brayettes&br;Macha's Cuffs &br;Two Freya's Mask&br;Hikazu Sune-Ate &br;Three Deimos's Gauntlets&br;Freya's Mask &br;Four Enlil's Brayettes&br;Freya's Jerkin &image=im00;&br; &li=ng01;The following adjustments have been made to Limbus:&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; - Items necessary to enter Limbus will be collected upon entry.&br;- Items necessary for entering Limbus are no longer exclusive.&br;Accordingly, any of the appropriate items in one's possession that have already been used at the time of implementation may be used again.&image=im00;&br; "" &style=Tb15;Battle-related&style;&br;&br; &li=ng01;Two new jobs, geomancer and rune fencer, are now available.&li;&br;&image=im00;&br; Specific quests must be completed in order to obtain each job.&br;* The level 70 to 71 limit break quests for geomancers and rune fencers is scheduled to be implemented in the next version update.
