&li= ;Character macros, map markers, and configuration data can be saved to both the PlayOnline server and your local hard disk drive for a total of up to five characters. The PlayOnline server provides players with a single slot for data saves, while the hard disk drive provides four (slots A-D). Each slot can contain all of the above mentioned data for a single character. Designating an occupied slot as a save path will cause the old data to be overwritten with the new.&li;

&li= ;These settings are saved separately from the FINAL FANTASY XI game data and will be preserved if you reinstall the game, however they will be erased if the PlayOnline Viewer is reinstalled.
Saved data may be loaded from any location (including Internet cafes, etc.)&li;

You may view your saved data by accessing the “File Manager” function found under the “Navigator” menu in the PlayOnline Viewer. &li;
