Selecting "Trade" from the main menu
allows you to exchange items, weapons,
and armor with other player characters
(PCs), and give items to non-player
characters (NPCs) during quests.

Target the PC with whom you wish
to trade. Select "Trade" from the
main menu. (You can also select
"Trade" first and then select a
trading partner from the
sub-targets). The targeted PC will
be sent a message indicating your
desire to trade. If the player then
selects "Trade," the two of you will enter trading mode,
and a pair of trade windows with empty slots will appear
on your screen. Both sides must agree to complete a trade.

Target the NPC with whom you
wish to trade. Select "Trade" from
the main menu. (You can also select
"Trade" first and then select a
trading partner from among the
sub-targets.) Once you have selected the NPC you wish to
trade with, a trade window with empty slots will appear.
Select items from your item list on the right side of
the screen, and then select "OK" in the trade window to
complete the trade. Unlike trades between players, you
can only trade with specified NPCs.
You will be unable to initiate trades with other NPCs.

&style=spacer01; &style;
Trades with both PCs and NPCs are
handled with the trade window.
Select an empty slot from the trade
window. Then select the item you
wish to trade from the item list on
the right side of the screen and
press the confirm button.
The item will appear in the trade
window slot.
&pre=01; If you are trading items with another PC, the items being
offered will appear in that character's trade window.
You can move the cursor over an occupied slot to view
details about the item being offered.
The trade is completed when both sides select "OK" from
their respective windows.
If either side selects "Cancel" at any time, the trade will be
cancelled.
&pre=01; Please be aware that if items are added or removed before
the trade is complete, you will need to reconfirm the trade
by selecting "OK."
Up to eight items can be traded at once.
There is no requirement that the same number of items be
exchanged.
As long as both sides agree, you can exchange one item for
another item, or eight items for nothing.
Gil can also be traded.
To trade gil, move the cursor to the top of the trade
window and enter the amount to be traded.
