The "Help Desk" option on the main menu
can be used to look up answers to
troubleshooting questions, search for a
mentor, or make a GM call to help with
issues that cannot be resolved in-game.
Players can also cancel New Adventurer
status and adjust Mentor status under this
menu.

Players who are new to FINAL
FANTASY XI have a "?" icon beside
their names.
This icon will automatically
disappear after a certain amount of
play time, but may also be manually
removed by choosing "Cancel New Adventurer Status" under
the Help Desk option's Config menu. Please take note that
once New Adventurer Status has been canceled, it cannot
be restored.

The Mentor Program is designed to foster cooperation between players. Mentors are regular players who have volunteered to lend a hand to other adventurers in need of help.
