FFXI: Battles > Dynamis "0","Dynamis" "1","Non-Reservable Dynamis Areas " "6","Reservable Dynamis Areas" &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&li=ng01;About Dynamis&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &image=ca01;Dynamis is a set of battlefield areas designed to provide players level 65 or above with challenging combat against notorious monsters, through which a vast assortment of exclusive equipment and upgrade items can be won. There are two types of Dynamis areas: non-reservable and reservable. Each type has its own entry requirements as described below. &li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&li=ng01;Non-Reservable Dynamis Areas&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Tk15w_3;Entry Requirements&style; &style=spacer01; &style; To enter a non-reservable Dynamis area, a player must: &style=spacer01; &style; &li=・;Be level 65 or above&li; &li=・;Possess the "vial of shrouded sand" and "prismatic hourglass" key items&li; &li=・;Have not entered Dynamis since the previous midnight (JST)&li; &li; &pre=01;&li=*;After achieving Rank 6 in one's home nation, players can obtain the "vial of shrouded sand" key item by triggering the related event scene in Xarcabard, then examining any one of the "Trail Markings" located in San d'Oria, Bastok, Windurst, and Jeuno, or one of the "Hieroglyphics" located in Valkurm Dunes, Buburimu Peninsula, and Qufim Island.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;Players in possession of a vial of shrouded sand can then obtain a prismatic hourglass by trading 50,000 gil to one of the Goblin NPCs stationed near the entrances to Davoi, Beadeaux, and Castle Oztroja.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;Once obtained, vials of shrouded sand and prismatic hourglasses cannot be lost.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;All non-reservable Dynamis areas share a single reentry timer; only one may be entered per Earth day. Reservable Dynamis areas use a separate timer, and the two will not affect each other.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Areas&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;The six non-reservable Dynamis areas are as follows: &style=spacer01; &style; Dynamis - San d'Oria / Dynamis - Bastok / Dynamis - Windurst / Dynamis - Jeuno / Dynamis - Beaucedine / Dynamis - Xarcabard &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Ty13;&li=*;Entry to Dynamis - Beaucedine requires a set of key items obtainable in Dynamis - San d'Oria, Dynamis - Bastok, Dynamis - Windurst, and Dynamis - Jeuno.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;Entry to Dynamis - Xarcabard requires a certain key item obtainable in Dynamis - Beaucedine.&li;&style;&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Entering Dynamis&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &image=ca02;&li= ;Players meeting all the above requirements may enter Dynamis by examining the Trail Markings in the corresponding area. An initial time limit of 60 minutes (extendable to a maximum of 120 minutes) will be imposed. Once a player has set foot in Dynamis, he or she will not be able to leave by normal means until this time expires. While it is still possible to return to a home point via magic or after being KO'd, note that reentry will not be possible until the next Earth day, even if the player's time limit had not yet expired.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Battling in Dynamis&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;Monster claims and loot distribution in Dynamis are handled in the same manner as standard battles. With the exception of certain notorious monsters, players will receive experience points for defeating their foes. Defeated monsters will respawn after a set period of time. Furthermore, each monster group is assigned a specific home territory; enemies disengaged outside these regions will disappear and respawn back in their original habitat after a short time.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&li=ng01;Reservable Dynamis Areas&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Tk15w_3;Entry Requirements&style; &style=spacer01; &style; To enter a reservable Dynamis area, a player must: &style=spacer01; &style; &li=・;Be level 65 or above&li; &li=・;Have completed the Chains of Promathia mission "Darkness Named"&li; &li=・;Possess the "vial of shrouded sand" key item&li; &li=・;Have not entered Dynamis in the past 72 hours (Earth time)&li; &li; &pre=01;&li=*;The vial of shrouded sand is the same key item as that required for non-reservable areas, and the method for obtaining it is exactly as described above.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;All reservable Dynamis areas share a single reentry timer; only one may be entered per 72 hours (Earth time). Non-reservable Dynamis areas use a separate timer, and the two will not affect each other.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Areas&style; &style=spacer01; &style;  The four reservable Dynamis areas are as follows: &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;Dynamis - Valkurm / Dynamis - Buburimu / Dynamis - Qufim / Dynamis - Tavnazia &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Ty14_2;&li=*;Entry to Dynamis - Tavnazia requires a set of key items obtainable in the other three reservable Dynamis areas.&li;&style;&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&li= ;Entering Dynamis&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &image=ca03;Players meeting all the above requirements must first speak to one of the Goblin NPCs stationed near the entrances to Davoi, Beadeaux, or Castle Oztroja, then trade 500,000 gil to them to obtain a "timeless hourglass." Trading the timeless hourglass to one of the sets of "Hieroglyphics" in the corresponding areas will transform it into a "perpetual hourglass."&li; &pre=01;&image=ca04;&li= ;From this moment, the sands of the hourglass will begin to fall, and the Dynamis area will be reserved to the player who performed the trade. The player may then enter Dynamis by re-trading the perpetual hourglass to the Hieroglyphics. &style=spacer01; &style; Using the perpetual hourglass creates a copy of itself. By handing these copies out to other characters, it is possible to enter the same Dynamis area in large groups.&li; &pre=01;&li= ;An initial time limit of 60 minutes for Dynamis - Valkurm, Dynamis - Buburimu, and Dynamis - Qufim, and 15 minutes for Dynamis - Tavnazia (all extendable to a maximum of 120 minutes) will be imposed upon entry. Once players have set foot in Dynamis, they will not be able to leave by normal means until this time expires. It is still possible to return to a home point via magic or after being KO'd. In such cases, the player will be able to re-enter the same area without restriction provided the hourglass has not yet expired.&li; &pre=01;&li=*;If an area of Dynamis is currently reserved, no other parties will be able to trade a new timeless hourglass to the corresponding hieroglyphics.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;If the number of people in an area of Dynamis remains at zero for ten minutes (Earth time), the reservation will be canceled and any remaining time on the hourglass lost.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;One's allotted time in Dynamis will be recorded in the help text of the perpetual hourglass. Time extensions will be reflected in the help text of each hourglass valid for that session, excluding those outside of Dynamis.&li; &pre=01;&li=*;Entry to Dynamis will be restricted to the first 36 players for Dynamis - Valkurm, Dynamis - Buburimu, and Dynamis - Qufim, and the first 18 players for Dynamis - Tavnazia.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;Once the limit is reached, all extra hourglasses will become void and no additional players will be able to enter the area, even if one or more of the occupying players exit.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li=*;Players who exit and return to Dynamis will find themselves in a weakened state for some time. This state will last for longer than the usual period experienced after being raised from KO status.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Battling in Dynamis&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &image=ca05;&li= ;In Dynamis, it is possible to cooperate with other characters to defeat enemies without being in the same party or alliance. Also, loot will be available for every character in the area to cast lots on, with the character who casts the highest lot receiving the item. The name of, and number rolled by, the current highest bidder will be listed to the right of all items in the "Treasure" menu. (This feature is only available in reservable Dynamis areas.)&li;
