&pre=1;&image=ng01;&style=Tk15w_3;Ballista License&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
Before an adventurer can participate in Ballista, he/she will
require a Ballista License.
Only after obtaining permission from the leaders of the
three nations, as well as from the Conflict Commander of
one's nation, can a player obtain a license. A player must
also be at least rank 3 to begin the application process.
This license will never expire, even if a player changes
nationality.
&pre=01;&image=ng01;&style=Tk15w_3;Entry&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
To participate in Ballista, a player
must first speak with a Herald in
one of the three areas mentioned
above, and then pay the
participation fee.
The minimum level and participation
fee may vary depending on the match's level restriction.
Players can learn about the schedule by speaking to a
Herald or Pursuivant.
&pre=01; Heralds may be found in the following locations:
&style=spacer01; &style;
Jugner Forest (I-8)
Pashhow Marshlands (I-7)
Meriphataud Mountains (G-7)
&style=spacer03; &style;
&style=spacer03; &style;
The entry process will proceed as follows:
&style=spacer01; &style;
[12:00] Priority Entry
Players with allegiance to one of the two nations in
the match (and who have not participated in the
prior match) can apply for entry at this time.
&pre=01; [16:00] Guest Entry
Players with allegiance to one of the two nations in
the match can apply for entry to their nation's force.
In cases where applications for one side has been
temporarily stopped due to a great difference in the
number of members, players with allegiance to a
nation other than the two nations in the match can
apply to join the force with fewer members.
&pre=01; [18:00] Temporary Entry
Players can apply to join a force regardless of
nationality. However, the player will be automatically
entered into the side with the lowest number of
members if the force applied for is full.
&style=spacer01; &style;
[22:00] End of Entry Period
The match will be cancelled if a force has fewer than three
participants upon reaching the registration deadline.
In addition, players may cancel entry by speaking to a
Herald. Players may not reenter a match after cancellation.
&pre=01; The Herald will refund the participation fee in the event of
match or entry cancellation.
&style=spacer01; &style;
&style=Ty15;*The difference between the two forces participating in a
match may be no more than a single player.&style;
&pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Entry During a Match&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
Players may join a match even if it is already underway,
but will automatically be entered into the force with the
fewest members. The following conditions are required for
entry during a match:
&style=spacer01; &style;
-The player must possess a Ballista License.
-The player must have enough gil to pay the entry fee.
-The match must meet the minimum level requirement.
&pre=01; When all procedures have been met, both forces will be
notified of the new member's addition.
The new member will be able to receive rewards and prizes
from the match, as well as Ballista Points and experience
points, just as if the player had entered from the
beginning of the match.
&pre=01;&image=ng01;&style=Tk15w_3;Opening Ceremony&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
At the close of the entry period, if both forces have met
the minimum player number requirements, the opening
ceremony will begin.
During the opening ceremony, the participants will not be
able to use spells or abilities, and will not be attacked
by monsters.
The player who first applied for each side will be asked
to read an oath on behalf of their respective force.
&pre=01; The ceremony will proceed as follows:
&style=spacer01; &style;
-A speech by the Herald
-An oath read by a representative from both forces
-The level restriction
-The casting of Invisible and Sneak onto players
-A match briefing
&pre=01;&image=ng01;&style=Tk15w_3;During the Match&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
Once the match begins, Invisible and Sneak will wear off.
In addition, any TP stored will reset to zero.
Each nation's Pursuivant will appear near the camps after
the starting signal.
No entries will be accepted after the start of the match.
By talking to the Herald, a player can request to be
discharged from his or her nation's force after the match
has started; in this case however, the participation fee
will not be refunded.
&pre=01; Players participating in the match will be unable to see or
communicate with non-participating players and monsters,
but beastmaster pets will appear as normal.
&style=spacer01; &style;
&style=Ty15; *Refer to "Basic Rules" and "Special Rules" for details on
how matches are played.&style;
&pre=01;&image=ng01;&style=Tk15w_3;End of the Match&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
[Closing Ceremony]
&style=spacer01; &style;
All matches will conclude after one Vana'diel day.
The players will meet at the Herald, and any level
restrictions will be lifted.
At this time, the HP and MP of all participants will be fully
restored.
The Herald will then announce the results of the match.
&pre=01; [Obtaining Rewards]
&style=spacer01; &style;
After the ceremony, members from the victorious force can
receive their reward from the Herald. After a given time,
the Herald will leave the match area until the next entry
period begins.
Please note that rewards cannot be collected after the
Herald leaves the match area.
In the case of a draw, participation fees will be refunded
in full to members on both sides. This reimbursement must
also be carried out before the Herald leaves.
&pre=01; [Victory Rewards]
&style=spacer01; &style;
Members of the winning force can receive a monetary
reward from the Herald after the match.
The reward amount per member is the total sum of the
losing side's participation fees at the end of the entry
period, divided by the number of entries on the winner's
side.
In addition, all members of the winning side will have
their own participation fees reimbursed.
Members of the losing side receive nothing after a match.
&pre=01; [Acquiring Ballista Points and Experience]
&style=spacer01; &style;
Following each Ballista match, players may be rewarded
with Ballista Points and experience, depending on their
performance.
Members under level 30 will not earn experience points.
&style=spacer01; &style;
&style=Ty15; *Players will not earn Ballista Points or experience in
Diorama Abdhaljs - Ghelsba.
*Refer to "Ballista Point Ranking" for more information on
Ballista Points.
&pre=01; [Prizes]
&style=spacer01; &style;
At the end of a match, the Herald will give the following
prizes (key items) to all participants, regardless of the
outcome:
&style=spacer01; &style;
-Ballista Instaport
Show this ticket to any Ballista event staff to receive a
free teleport to the area where the next match is taking
place.
-Ballista Instawarp
Show this ticket to a Herald to receive a free warp back
to your home point.
&pre=01; In addition, adventurers who were unable to participate in
a match due to an influx of participants will also be able
to receive these items after the entry period has ended
(note that the items must be received before leaving the
area).
Show these tickets to a Herald to receive a free warp to
your home point or another match area.
These two key items cannot be used during the entry
period or during an actual match, and players can only
possess one of each.
