&style=spacer01; &style;
Each job has a certain set of characteristic abilities.
Abilities are divided into "Job Traits" and "Job Abilities."
You will automatically learn them when you reach a certain
level in each job.
Job traits are always active once you learn them.
Job abilities take effect when you activate them.
Blue mage job traits differ in that they change depending
on the spells the player has set, without regard to the
player's level.
&pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Job Traits&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
From the main menu, select "Abilities" and then "Job Traits"
to view a list of all job traits that your character has
obtained. Move the cursor over each job trait to display

description at the top of the screen.
A meter that indicates the time remaining (in real-world
time) until the job ability can be used again will appear
at the bottom right of the screen.
When the meter reads "Next 0:00," the job ability is ready
for use again.
&pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Special Job Abilities&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
Job abilities can only be used corresponding to the level
that your character has reached (this includes support jobs
as well). Certain job abilities require a specific item or
can only be used if the job is set as your main job.
&pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&image=ng01;Pet Commands&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
The extra job classes of beastmaster, dragoon, summoner,
and puppetmasters can use special commands called "pet
commands." When you call a pet using your job ability or
a spell, additional pet commands will appear in the action
command menu under "Abilities."
&pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3; Pet Commands for Beastmasters&style;
&style=spacer01; &style;
Beastmasters can use the "Charm" job ability to turn
monsters into pets.
Commands can then be given directly to the pet monsters.
Beastmasters gain additional pet commands as their job
level increases.

Dragoons have a job ability called "Call Wyvern" that calls

However, these abilities cannot be selected using the
Pet Commands menu. Dragoons use the Pet Commands
menu to dismiss the wyverns that they have summoned.
