Only players who have enlisted as mercenaries with Salaheem's Sentinels are eligible to participate in Assault missions. Assaults are conducted in Leujaoam Sanctum, the Mamool Ja Training Grounds, Lebros Cavern, Periqia, Ilrusi Atoll, and Nyzul Isle. These areas are known as "Assault areas."&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&image=ng01;Assault Requirements&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;The following conditions must be met in order to participate in Assault missions: &style=spacer01; &style; - Level 50 or above - Registration as a Salaheem's Sentinel mercenary&li; &style=spacer02; &style; &style=Ty14_3;&li= *;Registering as a mercenary requires players to have progressed to a certain point in the Aht Urhgan missions.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Ty14_3;&li= *;Participation in Assault requires players to have installed and registered the contents of the FINAL FANTASY XI Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion disc.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&image=ng01;Assault Procedures&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;To participate in an Assault mission, you must first obtain an “Imperial Army I.D. Tag” at the Commissions Agency in Aht Urhgan Whitegate, and sign up at one of the mission counters.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;1.Obtain an Imperial Army I.D. Tag&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;After completing mercenary registration, speak to an NPC in the Commissions Agency to receive an Imperial Army I.D. Tag.&li; &style=spacer02; &style; &style=Ty15;&li= *;Imperial Army I.D. Tags are reissued to the Commissions Agency at the rate of one every twenty-four hours (Earth time). The agency will hold up to four tags in reserve for you.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;2.Signing Up&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;To sign up for an Assault, first speak to an NPC at any Assault area counter and choose a mission from the list. Here the player can also check the Assault objective and recruitment criteria (recommended level and number of members), which may vary for each Assault. Forming a party with other participants beforehand can help make the whole process go a bit smoother, from signing up for to entering an Assault.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Ty13;&li= *;A character is not required to be in a party to sign up for an Assault. However, a party is necessary to enter an Assault.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;3.Starting an Assault &style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;After forming a party with other Assault participants, proceed to the staging point for the Assault area you selected. Instant transport to any of these staging points is possible by using the Runic Portal found in the Chamber of Passage. Upon arriving at the staging point one player will be required to obtain an Assault armband from the nearby Immortal sentry. This armband will designate that character as the leader of the group. Once these steps have been completed, checking the Runic Seal will start the Assault.&li; &pre=01;&style=Ty15;&li= *;Players will only be able to access Assaults areas where they have unlocked the staging point. Staging points are unlocked by traveling to them and using the Runic Portals located there to warp to the Chamber of Passage.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= *;Upon entering, the leader will be given the option to set a level restriction for the Assault (50 / 60 / 70 / No restriction).&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&image=ng01;Assault Points and Rank&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;Successful Assault missions will earn you “Assault Points.” These points accumulate separately for each Assault area, and can be exchanged for various items. Completing Assaults will also improve your mercenary assessment, paving the way towards a Rank Evaluation and a possible promotion. A new level of Assault missions will be unlocked every time you gain a mercenary rank.&li; &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&image=ng01;Nyzul Isle&style; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= ;One of the Assault areas, Nyzul Isle, is organized into a series of blocks consisting of five floors each, the contents of which are randomly generated each time a party enters. After entering the Assault and using the “Rune of Transfer” located immediately within, players are able to select a block of their choice from those available to them.&li; &pre=01;&li= ;The “Rune of Transfer” will also inform players of that block’s objective. Once the objective is fulfilled, checking the rune again will give players either the option to proceed to the next block, or to end the Assault and exit. Should the party exit, the objective will be considered fulfilled and they will receive tokens (a point system specific to Nyzul Isle Assaults). In addition, the highest floor completed will be recorded. Using this saved data, the next time a player enters Nyzul Isle Investigation they will be have the option to proceed directly to their most recently completed block.&li; &pre=01;&li= *;All participating members can receive tokens.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= *;Floor data for Nyzul Isle Investigation is recorded for all players. For their progress data to be updated, players must begin the mission on a floor equal to or lower than the maximum level currently recorded on their disc. Provided this condition is met, progress data will automatically be updated each time a previously uncharted level is completed.&li; &style=spacer01; &style; &li= *;Since Nyzul Isle Assaults differ in comparison with the other areas, level restriction options are not available, and Assault points are not rewarded for completed runs.&li;
