FFXI: Chocobo Stables &pre=01;&style=Tk15w_3;&image=ng01;Chocobo Stables&style; &style=spacer01; &style;  Each town contains Chocobo Stables that allow you to rent chocobos. Once you clear a certain quest, you will be able to ride a chocobo by speaking to an NPC (non-player character) in the Chocobo Stables. The NPC will ask you to pay a fee. Answer "Yes," and your character will appear outside of the city astride a chocobo.  ■  ■  ■ &pre=01; Riding a chocobo allows you to move much faster than normal, and you will not be attacked by monsters. However, you cannot ride chocobos inside towns or in dungeons, and there are several other things to keep in mind as well: &style=spacer01; &style; You cannot engage in battle while riding a chocobo. You can only ride a chocobo for a certain period of time. You will automatically dismount from the chocobo once your time is up. You cannot use items while riding a chocobo (however, you can manually arrange your item list or discard items).  ■  ■  ■  ■  ■ &pre=01;  You cannot use magic while riding a chocobo (however, you can manually arrange your magic list).   You cannot use abilities while riding a chocobo (however, you can manually arrange your ability list).   You cannot fish while riding a chocobo.   The "Dismount" command will be added to the action command menu.   You cannot get back on a chocobo once you have dismounted.   You can change areas while riding a chocobo.  ■  ■  ■  ■ &pre=01;  You will automatically dismount from the chocobo   if your HP is reduced to 0.   The "Dig" command will be added to the action command   menu.   If you target a monster while riding a chocobo, the "Fight" command will appear in the action command menu.   You cannot heal, log out, return to the PlayOnline Viewer, or trade while riding a chocobo. &style=spacer01; &style; &style=Ty15_3; *For more information, please refer to the Riding Commands section.  *Chocobo Stables can occasionally be found outside of cities as well. They operate in the same way. &style;
