Creating commands

One of the great strengths of the CommonPoint application system is that user commands support extensive "undo" and "redo," allowing your users to retrace their steps in the event that they make an error. However, using commands alone is not sufficient to ensure that undo will work. Commands must be paired with selections.

In addition, this pairing of commands and selections puts in place the mechanisms to support collaboration between users of the same document.

You need not create a command class from whole cloth. As with selections, the CommonPoint application system provides basic command functionality with a template class.
