Deploying ELFIN at an end-user site

It is unclear whether the Licensing framework provider file system will be preconfigured at an end-user site. If it is not preconfigured, the following steps must be performed:

  1. Create all of the necessary directories. For more information, see "Plugging an Implementation into the Licensing framework" on page 45.
  2. Ensure that the CommonPoint application system is running.
  3. Run the executable CreateElfinProvider to generate the enveloped ELFIN provider object. A suitable command line on AIX is:
    CreateElfinProvider ElfinProvider
