A member leaves a caucus by calling TStandardCaucusMember::Leave. The Leave member function removes the member from the caucus and issues a leave message to all caucus members, including the exiting member.

Once a member leaves a caucus, it can no longer communicate with the caucus using the caucus interface. The member can rejoin the caucus, however, and receive a new identity.
