Beyond the computational model

This chapter discusses a variety of technical features outside the scope of the CommonPoint computational model. You won't encounter these features if you work within the model discussed in the prior chapters, but they are nonetheless present in various CommonPoint platforms. The issues are mentioned here for completeness, in a context assuming familiarity with the IEEE floating-point standards and familiarity with CommonPoint platform hardware.
