In a typical scenario, a user would have access to a demonstration version of a licensed product distributed by the product's developer. The user, if interested in the full-featured version of the product, orders the product from the product developer, and provides any required configuration and customer information. The developer creates an activation key and sends it to the user. The user (usually a system administrator) then installs the key to provide access to the full-featured product. An overview of the Licensing Service usage scenario is shown in Figure 13.
