Sample drawing programs

You can better understand the capabilities of GrafEdit by working with the sample applications provided with the CommonPoint system. Experiment with these programs to see the features of a basic graphics editor.

Mars is a simple drawing program created for the CommonPoint system with GrafEdit. Mars is only one possible application you could create with GrafEdit, and in fact, GrafEdit and the CommonPoint system support many more features than are currently present in the Mars sample. Chapter 3, "Using GrafEdit sample programs," presents detailed description of the functionality of Mars, and Chapter 4, "Mars sample application code walkthrough," includes a code walkthrough for the Mars sample application.

Jupiter is a drawing program which illustrates some of the more advanced features possible with GrafEdit. It includes the ability to embed document components. The Jupiter program will be described in more detail in a later version of this manual.
