





A window is a bounded area on the computer screen that presents a logical grouping of information. The window provides a context for the user to manipulate the viewed data in some way. The CommonPoint application system supports a variety of windows for presenting and manipulating data: document, panel, dialog box, and palette.
Here are some typical uses for each type of window:
