Getting started with the Time services

If your program requires timing support, you need to be familiar with the two fundamental abstractions in the Time services, time and clocks:

Time is a quantity of some time unit. Classes derived from TTime represent the common time units such as hours, minutes, and seconds.

Clocks represent the passage of time and provide the interface for getting the current time and delaying until a specific time. Classes derived from TClock represent time flow based on some point in time or event. Two frequently used clocks are:
