Performing a deep clean

To perform a deep clean:

  1. Exit Xcdb, if it is running.
  2. Exit SNiFF+, if it is running.
  3. Stop the CommonPoint application system, if it is running:
      CommonPoint -stop
  4. Run the DeepClean script:
      DeepClean
NOTE If you attended a Taligent training class, you should have the DeepClean script. If you would like a copy, contact Taligent DTS.

  1. Restart the AIX Window Manager (Mwm).
    1. Position the cursor over the AIX desktop backdrop and hold the right mouse button.
    2. Choose the second-to-last option, Restart, from the menu.
    3. Click OK when the dialog asks if you want to restart Mwm.
