Performing a session restart

To perform a session restart:

  1. Perform a deep clean.
  2. Log off and log back on.
  3. Check processes.
    1. Check your processes by executing:
          ps ux
      You should have almost no processes running.
    2. Check all processes by executing:
          ps -Af
    The output should look similar to the listing that starts on page 33.
  4. If the problem you are trying to fix involves the CommonPoint application system:
    1. Change directories to $TaligentSharedLibs.
    2. Run CommonPoint.
    3. When the environment comes up, attempt to resume where you left off.
