Using the time-media convenience classes

The time-media frameworks include convenience classes that provide a simple interface for creating a media player. You can use these convenience classes to get something working quickly--if the focus of your program is not time media, the convenience classes might be the only media classes you need to use. On the other hand, if your goal is to build an advanced editor for time-media data, you'll need to use the underlying framework classes.

NOTE The convenience classes are not as flexible as the underlying classes and are not intended to be customized. Certain convenience classes, such as the player views, are also less efficient than using the framework classes directly.
