Audio synchronization and timing

Like all types of media players, you can synchronize audio players to external time sources, including the internal clocks of other types of players. For more information about synchronizing time media, see "Synchronizing time media" on page 296.

The Audio system provides a TTime derivation, TSamples, that measures time in units of samples instead of standard time units, such as seconds. Since TSamples is derived from TTime, you can convert between samples and other standard time units. For more information about clocks, time sources, and time units, see the chapter "Time services" in OS Services.
