Help for the CommonPoint online taxonomy

The online taxonomy provides direct access to the frameworks that make up the CommonPoint Application System. Within the taxonomy pages, each framework is documented and linked up with the relevant CommonPoint classes.

There are two types of taxonomy pages used here. Every page provides a list of the groupings that this taxonomic entry falls under. For example, the Desktop Frameworks entry provides this listing:

This shows that the Desktop Frameworks are part of the Application Frameworks, which is part of the CommonPoint Application System.

In addition to this list, some pages may contain a table showing the frameworks that are part of this taxonomic category. For example, the Time Media page contains this table:

This table explains the various taxonomy entries that fall under the Time Media label.

Other pages may only display one framework. These pages will not have a table, since they contain no other taxonomic entries, but they will have a listing of all classes that are part of that framework. For example, the Audio framework contains this list of classes:

This listing groups the important related classes to allow developers to quickly find the piece they need.
