Handling exceptions

The Basic Document framework implements the fundamental exception mechanism used by all of the core frameworks. It derives TDocumentException from TStandardException.TDocumentException is used for all exceptions generated by the Basic Document framework.

Exceptions are generated when an unexpected or improper action occurs. For example, an exception would be raised when an attempt is made to look up a real object from an invalid reference, or when a shared library needed by an object currently being resurrected is missing.

Refer to the online class and member descriptions for specific exceptions returned by Basic Document framework objects.
